J. Fergus Evans deftly weaves poetry, theatre, and installation into tapestries saturated with lived experience and half-imagined fantastical landscapes. Previous work has included (among other things) a forest created from over a thousand donated sympathy cards and an hour-long solo show designed to take place in broom cupboards and boiler rooms. He has created work with a number of leading arts organisations including Contact Theatre, The Albany, and Battersea Arts Centre.

J. Fergus Evans uses a mixture of intimate confessions and half-imagined anecdotes to create a transatlantic gaggle of modern day folk-tales and quiet revelations. Fergus has been published in a number of anthologies and magazines. His debut collection ‘On Euclid Ave’ is available from Flapjack Press.
J. Fergus Evans also works as a Producer and Project Manager, having booked national tours for clients such as Contact Theatre and programmed and managed events for Queer Up North International Festival. He has previously worked as Senior Producer for PANDA and Theatre Relationship Manager for Arts Council England. He is currently Executive Director for Camden People's Theatre. Fergus is also a certified Coach with an interest in working with people in the arts to further their career.
