From 2014 to 2015 I supported live artist Louise Orwin with a number of projects including her first ever national tour and the world premiere of her multi-media performance A Girl And A Gun. Duties included: preparing successful funding applications to Arts Council England, booking and managing a 7 date national preview tour of ‘Pretty Ugly’, project managing the international R&D process for ‘A Girl And A Gun’ and its premiere, securing an extended London for ‘A Girl And A Gun’, contracting and managing the creative and production team for both projects, and managing production budgets for both projects.
Fergus’ considered approach to producing left me with some great skills and taught me valuable lessons in thinking about producing my work. In particular, I felt his background in life-coaching lent a great warmth and understanding to his management of my work, and also of me as a person! I would recommend him heartily to any artists looking to take a step forward with their practice.
